

This year, VivaTech was again the place to be for innovation makers: with over 124,000 visitors, 13,000 start-ups and 3,300 investors present, prestigious speakers such as Jack Ma or Emmanuel Macron and renowned guests such as Usain Bolt, the event attracts more business actors and brings more opportunities every year.
For the fourth year, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield was present at the event, but this edition was very special as it was the first time the Group could showcase its vision and ambition since Westfield joined the Group in June 2018. It was the opportunity to involve teams to foster the culture of innovation internally, to connect with the innovation ecosystem and to meet potential business partners.
A fully branded pop-up destination
Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield’s booth was designed as a pop-up destination to experience how we reinvent being together. To showcase this we had three areas of discovery:

New shopping experience: PopSquare, the AI-drive pop-up, was tested over 3,000 times

Immersive leisure experience: thanks to an Oculus, visitors could play a Tetris game and discover our shopping centre Valley Fair, California, in virtual reality

Dedicated food area : more than 1,200 smoothies were distributed at the juice bar in our food area
Identifying and connecting with potential business partners
- Over 500 potential business opportunities were identified on our booth
- Over 7 guided tours came to our booth (the Hub Institute, FDP, KPMG etc.)
- And much more potential partners were sourced on other booths and conferences to establish connections…
Involving our teams and fostering innovation
- Over 60 people from the Group were involved with a strong presence of representatives from Germany, Spain and the Nordics
- 2 Hub Institute tours for our teams were organised to give them a glimpse of large innovation trends and empower them to dare!
