

With more than 100,000 visitors, 9,000 startups, 1,900 investors and prestigious guest speakers such as Emmanuel Macron, Mark Zuckerberg or Ginni Rometty, this year’s edition of VivaTech, the rendezvous for innovation and startups, has been, once again, extremely successful. Unibail-Rodamco, through its lab for innovation UR Lab, was there to showcase its innovation strategy, source partnerships and involve its teams around innovation. Here are the highlights of this presence.
Promoting innovation at Unibail-Rodamco
For three days, Unibail-Rodamco’s booth became the showcase of innovation of the Group.
Thanks to immersive technologies such as a VR pod and a huge tactile table, Unibail-Rodamco demonstrated the prominent role of innovation within the Group. The VR pod notably illustrated a use case of 3D at Unibail-Rodamco, enabling prospective tenants or retailers to visualize in life size their future retail or work space.
Successful collaborations with startups were also highlighted, with a specific space on our booth dedicated to UR Link’s startups. The booth hosted nine startups including for instance Neatyy, PHENIX, Too Good To Go, Mutum or Sous les Fraises. All of them had the opportunity to pitch their solutions and tell visitors more about their collaboration with UR Link.
We were also proud to welcome our innovation partners for inspiring keynotes. ENGIE, Uber, Partech, Raise, Blablalines and Paris&Co delivered great speeches addressing open innovation topics.
Furthermore, a dedicated space on the booth was reserved for La Boussole, the leading French initiative for start-up accompaniment that was cofounded by UR Link, Unibail-Rodamco’s open innovation platform. Entrepreneurs could come for free advice and pitches were held during the three days of the event.

Identification of business opportunities
VivaTech is unrivalled when it comes to identifying innovative solutions and partnerships. The three days of the event provided Unibail-Rodamco with great business opportunities. Both on our booth and outside, Unibail-Rodamco has been able to source relevant managers in startups, large corporate and VC funds to establish a connection and eventually partnerships, in order to create Better Places together.
