Unibail-Rodamco and NUMA launch the second season of UR Link
After the success of the first season, Unibail-Rodamco and NUMA launch the second season of UR Link, the accelerator dedicated to the transformation of shopping centers. On the agenda: how to make shopping centers more sustainable and alive? Startups have until September 24 to apply for this second edition.
Participate in UR Link, the accelerator launched by Unibail-Rodamco, in partnership with Numa, is to benefit from the expertise of leading European commercial real estate, specializing in shopping centers located in European capitals (such as Carousel the Louvre, the Forum des Halles, the 4 Temps, Mall of Scandinavia). The program offers startups access to its shopping centers, 800 million visitors annually but also personalized coaching provided by the experts of Unibail-Rodamco, as well as ecosystem from entrepreneurs and mentors innovation.
“The season 1 resulted in the establishment of five operational pilots. It is also a winning combination between employees of Unibail-Rodamco and startups. Thanks to this success, we are excited to launch the second season of UR Link. Through this program, the group has the means to accelerate the transformation of its assets and to invent tomorrow’s shopping center through a co-innovation process“, says Ludovic Flandin, Director of the UR-Lab.
Reinventing shopping places
After a first season focuses on retail, the UR Link program will focus during this second season on ways to make shopping centers more sustainable and more integrated into their territory, with topics as diverse as the Smart Building, the circular and collaborative economy, urban mobility, communities, or living together (all themes are detailed on the website).
To apply for UR Link, startups can now submit their applications on the website until 24 September 2016. In addition to personalized assistance, startups will be offered access to top managers, the European shopping centers portfolio and its customers and an accommodation at group headquarters.
