Troov, the start-up that helps visitors find their lost belongings, is being deployed throughout 16 of the French shopping centres of the Group after a successful POC at Westfield Les 4 Temps and CNIT.
Launched in 2018 as a way to help individuals to find their items lost in public spaces, the start-up Troov created a digital platform where lost and found items are registered, and assists the owners to find their belongings. So far, 250 partners (such as the UGC cinemas, Marseille airport, the city of Puteaux…) have been working with the platform and over 20,000 lost items are declared on the platform each month.
A successful POC led to the deployment of the solution
As we had explained in this previous article, Troov was tested in Westfield Les 4 Temps and CNIT shopping centres from January to March 2019. The implementation of the solution in a shopping centre was challenging for Troov as its potential impact was unknown and unpredictable.
But the solution was very easy and fast to implement and the results were very encouraging. In 3 months, over 370 objects were found and added on the platform by the receptionists of the centres, 360 objects were declared lost by visitors. In the end 60 found objects were given back to their owners and visitors gave a satisfaction of 5/5 to this new service.
Offering new innovative services to visitors
Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield and Troov decided to deploy the solution in 16 of its shopping centres in France: seven of them were rebranded Westfield in September and started launching the solution in October, and the nine other shopping destinations have started implementing it recently. In just over a month, more than 350 objects have already been found in the centres that launched the solution.
To ensure that the launch of the solution is proceeding smoothly in all centres, Troov organises trainings aimed at receptionists to make them familiar with the platform.
Thanks to Troov, visitors are offered a new innovative and helpful service, in line with the innovation strategy of the Group that aims to ensure a seamless customer experience and the highest standards of service in the Group’s destinations.
After a successful POC in Westfield Quatre Temps, we are thrilled to have to opportunity to roll out Troov in all of Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield’s French shopping centres.
